This picture has an elegance of color about it: the outreach of the brilliant red at bottom, reaching upwards, connecting through a projection that is neither feather nor fin nor frond, but that partakes of all three, marrying the avian & piscine realms with the vegetable kingdom. It is a new kind of reality that is best seen, & most completely, with the inner eye.
